Evangelism

Showing people their need for Christ

What Is Evangelism?

Biblical evangelism simply means preaching the gospel. The Greek term for gospel (euangelion) literally means “good news.” As evangelists, we spread the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to unbelievers.

Why Do We Share the Gospel?

We are commanded as followers of Christ to preach the gospel. We want to win souls for Christ and help others experience the love of Jesus. We have a desire to share the truth of the gospel with others, so they too can inherit eternal life.

What Does Scripture Say about Evangelism?

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

How Do We Spread the Good News?

At Answers, we have several ministries that enable believers to share the love of Christ with our neighbors.

EVANGELISM
Telling people about the truth of Jesus is one of the greatest acts of love we can show to our neighbors. We get involved in activities locally, nationally, and globally to spread the good news.

MISSIONS
We sponsor efforts in Zambia to support the spreading of the gospel in the nation of Africa. We also have groups that travel to Costa Rica, where they have a chance to help people in need and to talk about Jesus.

ROLLING HOPE
This is a quarterly local outreach effort led by a motorbike crew (but we’ll let you bring your minivan) that visits laundromats in the area. We get a chance to bless families with a small gift, pray with them, and engage in meaningful conversation.

SHINE THE LIGHT
Through this ministry we provide to those who have need with the love and compassion that Jesus has shown us. We accomplish this through our food pantry and an annual outreach event. This presents us with tremendous opportunities to share who Jesus is with families in our community.

If you would like to know more about a particular ministry or how to get involved, go to our “Leadership page” so you can identify the ministry leader.
